Attorney Aleksandr Troyb Scheduled To Meet With Members of the U.S. Congress To Discuss Various Immigration Issues
On April 6, 2017, as part of a delegation from the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Attorney Aleksandr Troyb is scheduled to meet with members of the U.S. Congress in Washington, D.C. to discuss various immigration issues of interest to individuals and employers. He encourages his clients to contact him to discuss any immigration issues they may want him to address with members of Congress.
On Friday, March 3, 2017, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that it will temporarily suspend premium processing for all H-1B petitions filed on or after April 3, 2017. At present, USCIS believes that this suspension may last up to 6 months.
While H-1B premium processing is suspended, petitioners will not be able to file Form I-907, Request for Premium Processing Service for a Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker which requests the H-1B nonimmigrant classification.
